Scott Voss, a 42-year-old apathetic high school biology teacher, becomes a mixed martial arts fighter in an effort to raise money to save the school’s music program and other extracurricular activities from budget cuts. Despite his initial lack of skill, Scott’s commitment leads to surprising outcomes both inside and outside the ring.
