Our Review
“The Last Exorcism Part II” manages to differentiate itself from its predecessor by forgoing the found footage style. While it still capitalizes on the unsettling atmosphere, it somewhat struggles to maintain the same level of dread and intrigue. Ashley Bell’s performance as Nell is commendable, allowing the audience to genuinely empathize with her character’s plight. The New Orleans setting effectively amplifies the film’s gothic undertones. Yet, it lacks the consistency and pacing required to truly elevate the horror genre. For fans of the original, this sequel offers a new perspective but might not completely live up to the expectations set by the first film.
