“Renegade” presents a unique blend of Western genre and spiritual narrative, marked by its ambitious visual storytelling and Cassel’s engaging performance. While the film’s unconventional approach and psychedelic sequences may not resonate with all viewers, its audacious attempt to merge Western tropes with shamanic elements provides a visually captivating experience. The narrative, however, can feel disjointed at times, potentially leaving audiences divided. Nevertheless, for those intrigued by a different take on the Western genre infused with mysticism, “Renegade” offers an intriguing watch.”
