In a picturesque corner of Peru, a unique and intelligent bear family is discovered by a British explorer who leaves them with a fond memory of marmalade and an open invitation to London. After a devastating earthquake, the young bear travels to London seeking a new home. At Paddington Station, the kind Brown family takes him in, naming him Paddington. While Paddington searches for the explorer to find a permanent home, he crosses paths with a museum taxidermist with nefarious intentions. Through a series of adventurous mishaps, Paddington and the Browns unravel the mystery of the explorer, confront the taxidermist, and solidify their bond, giving Paddington the family and home he’s been searching for.
