In a distant future, Friz and his spaceship MEAD, capable of telepathically projected illusions, evade bounty hunters and meet an escaped prisoner, Phoebe. As they share their stories, they learn of MEAD’s creation to refuse military violence, leading to their fugitive status. They plan a daring theft of dark matter energy, confronting Admiral Gillette, who has a device to see through their illusions. Amidst battles and betrayals, they must find a way to survive and protect their newfound freedom.
