In ancient Egypt, Cleopatra bets Julius Caesar that her people can build a grand palace in just a few weeks. To win, she enlists the help of the Gauls, Asterix, Obelix, and their magic potion. The task is daunting, and Caesar, not wanting to lose face, sends spies and mercenaries to sabotage the construction. A series of comic adventures ensue, involving kidnap attempts on the druid Getafix, a siege of the construction site by Caesar, and the eventual completion of the palace, showcasing the Gauls’ ingenuity and courage.
