“Thanksgiving” is a refreshing take on the slasher genre, blending horror with comedic elements effectively. The film’s pacing, combined with its creative kills and dark humor, provides a thrilling yet entertaining experience. While the character development is commendable, especially considering the large cast, the film occasionally struggles with its tone, trying to balance the horror with comedy. Nonetheless, “Thanksgiving” stands out for its unique premise and Roth’s enthusiastic direction, making it a notable addition to the horror-comedy genre. The film’s homage to classic slasher films, coupled with a modern twist, is likely to appeal to both new and seasoned fans of the genre.
