Added to Cineplex on Friday, Apr 12, 2024 In 18th century Denmark, Captain Ludvig Kahlen, an ambitious but impoverished war hero, strives to cultivate the harsh Danish heath. Seeking to gain a noble title, he starts farming and building a colony for the king. The area, however, is ruled by the merciless nobleman Frederik De Schinkel who sees Kahlen as a threat. Amidst this backdrop, Kahlen, with the help of a fled couple, begins forming a community, setting the stage for a dramatic clash with De Schinkel.
