I found the sequel to be a wildly over-the-top, non-stop burst of energy. The action sequences are expertly choreographed and executed, delivering a spectacular level of mayhem that’s genuinely thrilling to watch. The biggest positive is undoubtedly the expanded central trio. Ryan Reynolds, Samuel L. Jackson, and Salma Hayek have fantastic, abrasive chemistry, with Hayek’s performance being a true standout that injects fresh, chaotic energy into the mix. I appreciated the introduction of screen veterans Antonio Banderas and Morgan Freeman, who clearly enjoyed leaning into the absurdity of the proceedings. The whole production embraces its ridiculous premise, making the experience feel like a continuous, explosive gag reel. The fast pace and committed performances make this a massively entertaining and explosive spectacle.
